Lanzarote
... is one of the most ancient islands of the canarian archipielago: it emerged from the waters of the Atlantic ocean nearly 20 million years ago. It has a surface of 807 square meters and it is situated at a distance of one thousand kilometres from the mainland of Spain and 125 from the african coast. It is the most eastern of the Canary Islands and is known worldwide as “the island of the volcanoes”, which is one of its major tourist attractions together with its climate.
